Why I like these movies

Many of these movies, if you've noticed, are from Asian creators or have asian backgrounds. I love watching movies in where I feel like I can somehwat relate to so for me, Crazy Rich Asians and Kung Fu Panda were my all time favorite movies. For instance, in "Crazy Rich Asians", the story talks about the dynamics of wealthy Asian families and the high standards they put on their chldren. They also mention how in Asian culture, it's difficult for the parents and children to be vulnerable and affectionate since that isnt how most of them grew up with. I thought this social concept was realtable to me because I also exprienced similar thinsg to what the characters in the story were experiencing. In "Kung Fu Panda", it's a story of how a panda gets ridiculed for wanting to become a superhero because of his looks and size. However, he proves everyone wrong and actually saves the country. I really liked this message of not letting others tell you what you can or can't be and to not judge people on how they look.
